How to change the clutch of my TM Racing 250/300Fi ?

Is the engine of your TM Racing 250 / 300Fi starting to show signs of weakness? You clutch begin to be a bit slippery ? It is surely time to change the discs and springs of your tm engine.

In normal use, it is usual to change its clutch every 50 Hours, if you are hard on yours, you can surely check at 35 Hours.

This operation is simple and does not require any specific tooling.

1 - Drain the engine oil as described in the relative paragraph. Unscrew the M5-L65 (1) and M5-L25 (2) screws, then remove the clutch cover (3).

2 - Remove the gasket (4).

3 - Unscrew the screws (5) of the clutch pack.

4 - Remove the spring (6) and the pressure plate (7)

5 - Remove the discs (8).

6 - On re-mounting the new discs, lubricate them with engine oil and make sure that the first disc mounted is lined, and that the first two smooth discs have thickness of 1.8 mm (the other discs have thickness of 1.5 mm).

7 - Remount the pressure plate (7) with the relative springs (6).

7 - Re-mount the screws (5) and tighten them crosswise and gradually with a torque of 8 Nm (0.8 kgm/ 5.9 ft/lb).

8 - Check that the gasket (4) is not ruined, otherwise replace it.

9 - Mount the clutch guard (3) and tighten the screws (1) M5-L65 and (2) M5- L25 gradually with a torque of 8 Nm (0.8 kgm/ 5.9 ft/lb)

Introduce VROOAM VR90 10W50 oil into the engine oil as described in the relative tutorial
